Amin Jamal of Superstone Capital – Lead Investor and Emerging Markets Business Mentor
In 2014, we established a strong relationship with Amin Jamal, principal of Superstone Capital, that included a significant investment in InDev Capital. In addition, Mr. Jamal serves as a key business advisor and mentor to InDev Capital.
Amin and Superstone’s roots are based in emerging markets, where the group has more than 40 years of experience in multiple industries. The firm was founded in Dubai, where Amin was born, in 1971 and initially focused on trading and commodities. The group soon expanded into manufacturing, with operations in Hong Kong and subsequently mainland China. As the group’s manufacturing business expanded, it extended its operations and investments into the real estate sector in India and Dubai. Over time, this activity increased in significance as the group’s investments and developments grew in parallel with the markets in which it was active.
The group has developed over 3 million square feet of real estate with a value exceeding US$1.2 billion in three emerging market countries. In addition, Superstone and Amin personally have invested in multiple emerging markets in various real asset classes.
Nicholas Reade – CEO Coach and Senior Advisor
After starting his career as an investment analyst at Banco Bozano Simonsen SA, Nicholas was responsible for setting up and running Citicorp Leasing International in Brazil, before becoming Managing Director of Brasilpar, one of the first private equity firms in Brazil. His experience includes Director at SG Warburg & Co Ltd., Managing Director at Bear Stearns & Co Inc., Executive Vice President at Banco Brascan S.A., and President and Member of the Board of Directors at Rio Bravo Securitizadora S.A.
From 2008 to 2015, Nicholas served as CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Brookfield Incorporações, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2015 to 2016. From 2013 to 2016, he was also Director of the Brazilian Association of Real Estate Developers, ABRAINC (Associação Brasileira de Incorporadoras Imobiliárias).
Nicholas holds both a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Nicholas has 35 years of experience in leadership, management, corporate finance, and banking.
